We were invited to play at the American Graffiti Family Dinner night at the Fratellanza Club in Oakland. It’s a classic old hall from 1932 with a large maple-floored ballroom, stage, and separate dining hall. After the load-in and sound check, we were treated to a delicious multi-course Italian dinner – antipasti, gnocchi and prime rib.
Our first public gig was at Norms Place all the way back in 2013. And here we are, 10 years later, as another St. Patrick’s Day rolls around. It was the biggest crowd we’ve seen at Norms- the place was packed, and the crowd energy was off the hook.
We’ve played so many great parties at the Leitch’s place over the years – they feel like the extended Drop Daddies’ family. So we were stoked to be a part of Chris’ 50th birthday celebration.
It was good to be back at Norms for St. Patricks Day this year, after the pandemic hiatus!
It’s been a few years since we last partied with the Waterman Circle crew. These guys sure know how to throw an epic block-spanning multi-house post-pandemic party! The costumes were off-the-hook, from Party Animal and Party Pooper, Killer Bees, Taco and Belle, multiple Vincent Vega’s from Pulp Fiction along with the pre-and-post adrenaline-shot-to-the-heart Uma Thurman. These guys are always such a fun crowd!
Father’s Day – the perfect occasion to rock out with the Drop Daddies! It’s been a long hiatus since our last gig in January 2020, and we were ready to light it up! Mid afternoon temps were over 100 degrees at the Auburn Lounge patio in Danville.
It’s been a few years since we last played at the Sycamore Clubhouse in Danville, and it hasn’t changed a bit. And neither has Kim, turning 50 this month and looking as young as ever. The theme was 80’s prom, and Kim was wearing her actual high school prom dress!
It was great to be invited back to play the second annual Canyon Park block party on September 22 in San Ramon.
