American Graffiti Night at Fratellanza Club

We were invited to play at the American Graffiti Family Dinner night at the Fratellanza Club in Oakland. It’s a classic old hall from 1932 with a large maple-floored ballroom, stage, and separate dining hall. After the load-in and sound check, we were treated to a delicious multi-course Italian dinner – antipasti, gnocchi and prime rib.

Then we got up on stage and played through a set highlighting all of our 50s and 60s tunes. Club member Kyle Vallone joined us on stage to play a killer harmonica solo in Johnny B Goode.

And we brought back Donna and Unchained Melody – we don’t often get a chance to play these slow 6/8 tunes. See a video of Unchained Melody below.
