End of the World party

Our first gig was just a few short weeks after we started making music together.  Our friend Laura was having an end of the world party on December 21, 2012- to celebrate the end of the Mayan calendar.  Spoiler alert- the world did not, in fact, end.

Party InvitationThe band was still so new, we didn’t have a name.  So just for this party, someone came up with “End of Times”.    Rock and roll!

We hadn’t yet met our bass player Ryan, so our buddy Chuck was filling in- but he unfortunately had a family emergency and was unable to play the party.  This was also before Jeff joined us on second guitar.  So we were a sparse 4-piece for the evening – Gary, John, Ian and Xeno.

We played next to an enormous golden Christmas tree, wedged between a couch and a piano, with a nice crowd of festive party-goers across from us… and a good time was had by all Smile
